Emotion-Driven Stories - Inspiration Worksheet

Emotions come in a variety of versions and extremes. Recognizing reactions, thinking about how different characters react to the same instance, and putting those together is how stories feel real and interesting.

Some prompts related to this include:

  • LOVE: CHARACTER was loved by all who met them.

  • ENVY: Everyone in the village of TOWN envied CHARACTER.

  • BOREDOM: At no point in CHARACTER’s life had they been so bored.

  • EXCITEMENT: CHARACTER was more excited today than on any day in their life.
